Castellan Asset Management is an investment manager not an aircraft lessor. Our focus is on securing returns for our clients through direct investment in aircraft and managing the risk associated with that investment. To maintain our focus, we use aircraft asset managers to manage the technical aspects of the aircraft and leases and oversee their work, in much the same way a property trust engages a property manager to manage a building.
By maintaining our focus as an investment manager, we can sustain alpha and better manage risk; applying our aviation expertise to our investor’s benefit.
Our asset managers are carefully selected based on their track record, risk profile and market segment expertise, in order to ensure the highest possible standard of technical management and the maximisation of our aircraft investments.
Castellan Asset Management also engages a range of other consultants and independent service providers to assist in the operation of the Fund.
Sourcing
We source aircraft assets for the Fund through a broad network of relationships with aircraft lessors, airlines, industry consultants and other market participants. We purchase individual aircraft and portfolios, primarily with attached leases.
